Relief is in sight for Keystone and Race Track roads, two long overburdened routes serving commuter traffic near the Hillsborough-Pinellas county line. For residents of the East Lake community in northern Pinellas County, the two lanes of Keystone Road were plenty for commuting between U.S. 19 and East Lake Road back in 1980. The 3-mile strip was a rural passageway between Tarpon Springs, the pastoral horse country south of Odessa and northern Hillsborough County.

Friday evening around 6:30, Bridgman Police Department received a call complaining about a mini van parked on the shoulder of I-94 eastbound with its headlights on. The van was still partially in the road, forcing vehicles to swerve to avoid a collision. Police say, the semi truck traveling in the same lane was unable to avoid a collision, and struck the mini van.

Motorists driving the stretch of Highway 141 between Niagara, Wis. and Pembine, Wis., will notice there are passing lanes for vehicles going in both directions. The Marinette County project, within the nine mile stretch between Niagara and Pembine, was recently completed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The project was a 3R program -resurfacing, reconditioning and reconstruction.

Late Friday night, a man was killed in a car accident, investigators say. Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency arrived on the scene to find an individual pinned between a vehicle and a guard rail in the 43900 block of NE Columbia Tie Road, near Camper's Hideaway in North Clark County. When the Emergency and Rescue personnel arrived, the subject was deceased.

Emporia State University and the administration of President Michael Lane were found to be fiscally responsible in a management review released Thursday by the Kansas Board of Regents. The review, conducted by an independent auditor, found "no identification of inappropriate disbursements," according to a press release from ESU. The review, conducted by BKD, LLP and paid for by the ESU Foundation, was similar to reviews conducted at Kansas State University, Pittsburg State University and the University
